Do you need to find out more about cat5 cable wiring, cat5e cable wiring and cat 6 cable installation? MSE is here to help you with various data-based solutions. Here are just some of the services offered by MSE:
Cat 5 and Cat5e
Cat5 cables are the slowest of the main three options available to you but still used by many organisations. These cables are able to handle speeds of up to 100mbps. Cat5e stands for Cat 5 enhanced and is used in many new installations and can stop crosstalking (signals from different channels interfering with each other) whilst providing speeds of 1000mbps (gigabit Ethernet) at 100MHz.
Cat 6 and 7
Category 6 is the second fastest of the options and uses an internal separator which makes it even more efficient at preventing crosstalking. Category 6 is ideal for companies who have the future in mind, though the newer category 7 cables are even faster, providing performance of up to 600MHz.
At MSE, we have provided data cabling and installations for a host of well-known companies with big needs and are able to count clients such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors amongst our clients. Do you need us to design the entire data infrastructure for your premises? If so, this is no problem.
Ethernet and fibre optics
Though ethernet has become much faster over the years, you could also opt for fibre optic cabling. Fibre optic cabling is light, thin, doesn’t use electricity and enables you to make clear phone calls without echo. If you need to transfer large volumes of data, fibre optic could be the best solution. Copper and fibre both offer big benefits, and which one is right for you can depend on your own unique circumstances, including the nature of your current network as well as your future needs. Some customers now decide to opt for mixed networks featuring copper and fibre.
